Q&A with Beyonce

Q: What’s your favorite romantic evening?

Beyonce: “Light some candles, have a good meal, and watch an old movie. I don’t cook much, but I’m good at spaghetti and sandwiches. I know they’re easy, but they’re my specialty.”

Q: After 23 years in the music industry, how do you not lose yourself?

Beyonce: “The predictable rock star DNA is a myth. I believe you don’t have to accept dysfunction to be successful. This is not to say that I have not struggled. I have the same pain that life brings to everyone else. I try to shift the stigma that says with fame there has to be drama.”

Q: What’s the most important lesson being a mother has taught you?

Beyonce: “I have learned patience, to see the things that are invisible, and the value of time. We are born with only a certain amount of heartbeats. Be wise with what or whom you choose to spend your energy on!”
