Robyn Rihanna Fenty best known as Rihanna is a Barbadian singer, lyricist, and actress. Robyn Fenty was born in the parish of Saint Michael in Barbados and grew up in Bridgetown.
At only 16 years, Rihanna signed a recording deal with Def Jam Recordings, after auditioning with its then-president, Shawn Carter, who is popularly known as Jay Z.
Rihanna made her chart debut in May 2005 with “Pon de Replay,” the first song of her debut album Music of the Sun. The single was first recorded for her demo tape, which included another two tracks.
