The music icon, Jennifer Lopez won two world records throughout her 33 years of career.

Even though she started her music career in 1986, at the early age of 17, her first world record came sixteen years later in 2002, when she became the first artist ever to reach No.1 with a remix album, J to tha L-O! The Remixes. Nine years later, the young Bieber joined the list with his second remix album.
The second world record broke by Jennifer Lopez happened in 2011 with her song ”On the Floor,” due to her growing popularity after she was assigned as a judge on the reality TV show contest American Idol.

First #1 Remix Album on the US Billboard Albums 200 chart.

On 22nd February 2002, J to tha L-O! The Remixes by Jennifer Lopez broke the world record by becoming the first number one remix album on the Billboard 200 chart, selling over 156,000 US copies in its first week.

On 9 March 2002, her remix album comeback to #1 for the second and final week selling 102,00 copies this time and one of the album tracks “Ain’t It Funny” (Murder Remix) reached #1 on Hot 100 chart.

Lopez’s remix album features her first No.1 song “If You Had My Love” (Dark Child Master Mix) and the ballad “Alive,” which was co-written by Jennifer for the movie Enough (2002), where she stars as the waitress Slim Hiller.

  • As of 4 June 2019, there is only one other remix album Never Say Never: The Remixes (EP) by Justin Biber which topped the chart on 5 March 2011.

J to tha L-O! The Remixes sold over 1.5 million US copies, being the fourth best-selling remix album of all time, after Michael Jackson, Madonna and Linkin Park remixes.

First music video ending voted for by fans on American Idol.

J Lo’s song “On the Floor” holds the record title for the first music video ending which was voted for by fans on Americal Idol.

  •  Had 488,685,688 views, with 891,490 “likes” and 68,636 “dislikes.”
  •  It was favorited for 788,648 times and reached 434,626 comments.

On March 3, 2011, Lopez made a genius branding move, by synchronizing the track release with the premiere of its music video on the famous reality show American Idol where she was assigned as a judge that year.

One month later on May 5, Jennifer Lopez and the rapper Pitbull performed live “On the Floor” for the first time on the American Idol.
